Two Raindance MA Alumni Win Best Short Film in Toronto - Raindance

Two alumni of the Raindance Postgraduate Degree made a short film in 2017 starring Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis. The film is now going to festivals and won the Best Drama award at the Toronto Shorts International Film Festival on 3rd March.

Chuck Scott, a graduate of the class of 2016 and now a mentor in the programme, acted as producer on the film. David Antoniuk, a graduate of the class of 2015, directed the film.

Eleftheromania follows Auschwitz survivor Piroska (portrayed by Academy Award Winner Olympia Dukakis) as she recites a true story about a group of Greek-Jewish prisoners confronting a moral dilemma.
