Tell the story of Jack’s faces and win a place on The Reel Challenge

What is The Reel Challenge?

Reel is an exciting new event for aspiring filmmakers. You’ll travel from London to Budapest while planning, shooting and editing your own short film en-route. It’s a chance for brave, bold filmmakers to break out of their daily routines and get inspired by the world out there. Reel gives you the freedom to make amazing films, with the opportunity to work with film industry professionals, mentoring you to help make the most of the opportunity. Whether you do the trip by yourself or in a team, you’ll be joining an amazing community of likeminded creatives who crave adventure and the opportunity to do something unique.

What’s the competition?

Jack Morton Worldwide and Raindance are proud to support new talent and aspiring filmmakers through their partnership with The Reel Challenge. Together, they are giving you the chance to win a free place for you and your team on the The Reel Challenge 2016, including up to £1,000 of expenses!

What do I have to do?

All you have to do for a chance to win is submit a 15 second film that reflects Jack Morton’s mission of creating extraordinary experiences. Specifically, we’re looking for stories that illustrate the journey from ‘indifference’ to ‘extraordinary experience’ to ‘inspiration’, as reflected in the three faces in Jack Morton’s logo. Or to put it another way – look at the three faces… what do they communicate to you? Share your story, in 15 seconds or less. From animation to live action, from comedy to drama, the way you create your film is up to you. We can’t wait to see what you create!

How do I submit my entry?

All entry submissions will be via Instagram. You will need to include #SomethingExtraordinary, mentioning @jackmorton, @reelfilmchallenge and @raindance_film_festival when you post your video, and that’s it.

The call will close at 5pm on the 15th May.

The Reel Challenge Dates

The Reel Challenge launches on the 25th June in London and concludes on the 5th July in Budapest.
