‘Stand out from the crowd’ and win TWO free places on the ultimate filmmaking adventure from London to Budapest
Enter your own micro-short into our Instagram competition for the chance to win a place for you and a friend on The Reel Challenge 2017 plus £350 spending money!
What is The Reel Challenge?
The trip begins with a Launch Workshop, hosted at Channel 4’s HQ in Westminster, and ends with a screening of your film at our full-day film festival in Budapest. In between, you’ll be travelling across Europe for 10 days however you choose, creating your own short film as you go.
It’s a unique and exciting opportunity to learn new skills, create something to be proud of, and join an awesome community of like-minded filmmakers.
Supporting Emerging Talent
This awesome opportunity is being brought to you by My First Job in Film, who are official partners of The Reel Challenge 2017.
“We’re really excited to partner with The Reel Challenge this year: it’s an invaluable experience that will really help participants get noticed as they apply for jobs in the film industry.” – Laura, My First Job In Film
What Do You Have To Do?
My First Job In Film know just how important it is to be able to stand out from the crowd when you’re applying for your first roles in the film industry (which is one of the many reasons that people take part in Reel)!
So, all you have to do for a chance to win is submit a micro-short (up to 20 seconds) via Instagram, that reflects the theme of ‘standing out from the crowd’. Our favourite will receive two free places on The Reel Challenge and £350 spending money
You can submit as many times as you like, and we don’t mind whether it’s something you’ve already shot, or something you go out and create especially to fulfil the brief. So get creative and impress the judges!
We can’t wait to see what you create.
How do I submit my entry?
All entry submissions will be via Instagram. You will need to include the hashtag #ReelStandOut, mentioning @MyFirstJobInFilm, @reelfilmchallenge and @raindance_film_festival when you post your video. Once you’ve submitted, you’ll also need to send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to complete the submission process.
Submissions must be received by 8pm on Sunday 14 May to be considered.
