The Settlement

Hollywood set-designers Evan and Ben were dissatisfied with their regular lives on Earth, so they created an outer-space human settlement on the Planet Titan, just a few miles outside Los Angeles. THE SETTLEMENT observes these strange groups as they experience an unrestrained and experimental existence by embracing an alien lifestyle.

THE SETTLEMENT screening on Thursday 27th September will be followed by a Q&A with directors Drew Rosas and Kevin Toomey. Book your tickets here.

Zimbelism tells the story how documentary photographer George Zimbel captured the world on a 35mm frame. Photographing a diverse range of subjects from John Kennedy to Marilyn Monroe, Zimbel has worked for numerous magazines and has prestigious collections world-wide. An intriguing portrayal of a revered man behind the camera.

ZIMBELISM screening on Friday 28th September will be followed by a Q&A with directors Matt Zimbel and Francois Gatton. Book your tickets here.

The Artist and the Pervert

A music documentary about the loving, sexual, and working relationship between Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas and his ‘collared slave’ wife and muse Mollena Williams-Haas. Directors Behn and Gebhardt choose to foreground the sexual frankness and loving perversion of Georg and Mollena’s marriage. The documentary also explores their artistic collaboration on the opera Hyena, in the build up to its world premiere in Vienna.

THE ARTIST & THE PERVERT screening on Friday 28th September will be followed by a Q&A with directors Beatrice Behn and Rene Gebhardt, and documentary subjects Friedrich Haas and Mollena Lee Williams-Haas. Book your tickets here.

Wolves Unleashed

‘Wolves Unleashed’ is a behind-the-scenes look at the animal training on the 2015 blockbuster ‘Wolf Totem’. The animal trainer, Andrew Simpson, forms a compassionate bond with the young wolf pups over the three years of filming. This inspirational documentary follows their development and connection.

WOLVES UNLEASHED screening on Wednesday 3rd October will be followed by a Q&A with director Andrew Simpson and cast member Sally Jo Sousa. Book your tickets here.

The End of Meat

Beginning with the frightening consequences of our present day obsession with meat, director Marc Pieschel soon turns an investigative eye to food innovators, futurists, and advocates for major industry change. Plant-based diets are growing at an exponential rate, with vegan supermarkets showing fierce competition across Germany, and an eye to expanding across the globe. We discover scientists growing animal-free meat in labs, rebel farmers, and sanctuaries that will change the way we relate to animals.

WOLVES UNLEASHED screening on Thursday 4th October and Friday 5th October will be followed by a Q&A with director Marc Pierschel. Book your tickets here.
