Sandy has worked in the film industry in U.S.A. and Europe. He began as an agent for Peter Falk, Sergio Leone, Peter Sellers, Lindsay Anderson, Richard Harris, The Rolling Stones, etc
He formed Goodtimes Productions in 68 and David Puttnam joined as partner in 1970. Sandy is producer of Performance, Bugsy Malone, Stardust, Stars and Bars, Rita, Sue and Bob Too, Swastika and 22 other films and documentaries. He also is a president of Production 20th Century Fox, MGM International, Ladd Co. (W.B.) supervising development and production of Alien, Blade Runner, Thelma and Louise, Once Upon A Time In America, Nosferatu, etc.
Sandy also worked with such acclaimed organisations as:
Film London; Founder and Chair. Responsible for establishing Film London’s ground breaking Microwave Film Fund for low budget feature films, The Production Finance Market, Film London Artists Moving Image Network and the Derek Jarman Award.
National Film & Television School: Designed curriculum and established the Producing Department.
Escuela International de Cine & TV, Habana, Cuba: head of Producing Dept.
Berlin Talent Campus: Co-founder and campus organiser.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences: London Chair.
