Martin Gooch
Martin Gooch (born in St. Albans, England 1972) is a BBC Trained directed and Directed the BAFTA winning Spooks Interactive (BBc/Kudos 2008).
Harry Potter, Judge Dredd and The Muppets taught Martin how to make movies during his 20 years career as a Camera Assistant, Camera Operator and Director of Photography on many big feature films and countless TV productions including Big Brother and Robot Wars.
His debut feature film DEATH (aka After Death) – a mysterious ghost story, was screened at BAFTA, Raindance and many other film festivals. His follow up feature film The Search for Simon (a Sci-Fi Comedy) was listed as one of the top ten British Comedy films of 2013 by the London Film Review.
Martin released his “I made a feature film by Mistake” DVD a collection of his short films in 2014 as he discovered that he had written and directed so many short films that if you added them all together they would be a feature film!
He is a two time winner of BBC Best New Director, he has worked in Hollywood as a screenwriter and has a Masters Degree in Screenwriting from The University of the Arts, London.
His first book of short stories “The Night at the End of the Tunnel” is now available.
His first two feature films DEATH and The Search for Simon won or were nominated for 27 awards
