Lukasz is a Polish documentary filmmaker based in London. He was recently selected as a 2014 Berlinale Talent. He graduated from the National Film and Television School where his short, After, received the award for best documentary, worldwide from CILECT. It was broadcast on Dutch television (VPRO), shown at BAFTA as part of ‘Stars of Tomorrow’ and has screened at numerous festivals around the world (SXSW, Camerimage), winning four additional awards. Vegas his graduation documentary, premiered at Hot Docs and has been included in major festivals since then (DOK Leipzig, True/False, Docaviv). Lukasz worked as an edit director and producer on Dau, a hybrid of documentary and fiction, which is number 8 on the Top 200 Most Anticipated Films for 2014 by IMDB, shot by DoP Jürgen Jürges (Funny Games) and produced by Philippe Bober (Enter the Void). Before coming to the UK Lukasz received a Norwegian Government Scholarship and moved for 1 year to Bergen to do a photographic project. He was commissioned to direct and shoot a film for the Polish National Broadcast Channel (Program 1) My Twenty Laps. Lukasz is currently developing his first feature-length documentary, an international co-production.
