Louis Paxton



Louis is a Scottish writer and director from Edinburgh. He studied at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow then completed an MA in Directing at the National Film and Television School. As a writer, he’s developed projects for the BBC, What Larks productions and Hartswood Films, including Sci-Fi comedy/drama, THE SPARE ROOM, which was selected for the BAFTA Rocliffe drama forum. He was one of ten writers selected for Big Talk and Loco film festivals, Betty and Peter List, celebrating exceptional talent in UK feature film comedy.

As a director, his short films range from Comedy Drama to Musicals and have picked up festival awards worldwide. SATAN HAS A BUSHY TAIL was completed as part of Film London’s shorts scheme and has picked up multiple best comedy awards. His latest short NEVILLE IS DEAD, is nominated for best Scottish Short at Glasgow Short Film Festival. He’s currently in development with the Scottish Film Talent Network on ‘THE INCOMER’ – a twisted comedy folk tale set on a remote Scottish Island, this will be his first feature film as Writer/Director.
