Baptiste Charles – Programme Registrar

Baptiste has been the Programme Registrar in the Raindance Postgraduate Degree since March 2016. He joined Raindance full time after having been an intern at the 23rd Raindance Film Festival in 2015.

Originally from France, Baptiste has had a passion for stories since his early years. He taught himself English in his early teens because he didn’t want to have to wait for the French translation in order to know how Harry Potter ended. He graduated from Kedge Business School with a Master’s Degree in Management, with a major in the creative industries and a minor in gender studies and media ethics. He wrote his final thesis on the political empowerment of minorities through improved representation on screen in the age of streaming services.

Baptiste is also a writer, writing for both stage and screen. His first short film, U Up? is currently in pre-production. He is also the producer of the award-winning short film Alder, and the hit web series NETFL!X AND KILL.
