Rebecca is the Lead Technologist for Immersive technology at Digital Catapult, exploring new applications for VR and AR across industries, and working to boost the growth of immersive companies in the UK.
Rebecca recently led the development of a new innovation programme, CreativeXR, which works with technologists and creatives to boost early stage development of immersive content projects in the UK, and is leading a new area of work on understanding the impact that immersive experiences can have on audiences.
Previously, Rebecca worked as a Development Producer at the BBC, delivering a range of digital innovation projects, including a set of ambitious experimental VR pilots. Prior to this, she worked as a Research Engineer for BBC R&D, where her main focus was on developing front-end software for prototypes that enhance the viewing of large, live events such as the Commonwealth Games 2014. Her background is in Electronic Engineering, having studied at the University of Bristol and Télécom Paris.
