Jason was brilliant, very engaging. I’m looking forward to my next course at Raindance.

Brilliant course with an excellent, very experienced tutor. Would highly recommend to anyone who has bought a DSLR camera, and is looking for that extra professional edge for their videos.

The presenter, Jason was very engaging and stayed back to help everyone who asked him questions at the end, which was brilliant.

My only feedback would be that the first hour covered stuff on the print-out which you can read in 5 mins. I think it could be covered in 15mins or so and then the rest of the class dedicated to how to best utilise your DSLR (aperture, shutter, Iso, white balance, then some practical examples and Q&A)

I went to this course as I had absolutely no knowledge of DSLR and its technical aspects. Thanks to Nick, the course leader and a replacement tutor to the one advertised, I left with a good introductory understanding of the workings of DSLR cameras for filming. Even though, given as an extra, the info on sound recording was interesting, yet this time could have been given to the showings of films which took place after the end time of the course, which a couple of us had to miss due to train bookings. Overall a knowledgeable course leader and a great experience.

Great course . I am a beginner and Nick made the technical aspect understandable for me. I have now plucked up enough confidence to purchase a DSLR for myself and give it a go! This is not to say this course is only for beginners. There were quite a few people on the course who are experienced industry professionals-their discussions sounded very lively to me and fruitful.
